Yep! Finally MLP art. ;)

This battle took place many thousands of years before the current events. And it is not the final battle of good against Lord of Chaos.

Discord with his new favorite doll versus Celestia, on her burn of rage form: Lightmare Sun.

Timeline:

Founding of Equestria ( "Hearth's Warming Eve" episode ) --> The conquest of the country by Discord. The reign of chaos. --> Bunt alicorn sisters and their allies against the Lord of Chaos --> This battle ( Fail ) --> The final battle with the all Elements of Harmony ( I think Celestia and Luna were users of a specific single item ). Discord Lost. --> Much later Nighmare Moon time --> Thousand years later, today time.

Well, where to start? To begin with, the piece is anarchic, brutal and captivating, as one would expect from a scene such as this. The design of the being on the left is rather interesting, for it is certainly brutal and rather unique. The being on the right looks like a cross between a nightmare, a Pegasus and a phoenix, an odd combination that looks superb. As for the puppet, it is a start contrast to the other two, given the more bright colors and the fact it is wrapped in chains.

Given my lack of familiarity of My Little Pony, this is something of a shock to me, never would have expected this. Regardless, brilliant work Ziom, keep it up.

...Damn son. I don't even know where to begin. This is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen in my life. Just the technical layout alone makes me cry a little, it's beautiful. The details are all really well done, but it still retains enough of that digital-weird-blur-effect that I love. The idea behind it it great, and it fits well with the fan back story. I really love the depth you've managed to pull off, that's usually one of the hardest parts for me to do right. All in all, this is a beautiful representation of an epic event; it reminds me of some of the old Norse epic poems actually...

It all makes sense now... Nightmare Moon and Discord were defeated at pretty much the same time.
During the fight of the Princesses and Discord, Discord corrupted Luna and an epic battle took place between Celestia and Discord + Nightmare Moon. Celestia, knowing she couldn't let Nightmare Moon roam freely and seeing the turned-to-stone face of her sister every day would also be unbearable, banished her into the moon. Discord, after his most powerful puppet was gone, had to fight on his own against the raging Celestia. This fight took nearly two years until he was finally turned into stone. Celestia, trying to keep her sister in positive memory by herself and the citizens of Equestria then said that she and Luna had defeated Discord together.

i've also heard Celestia called Solar Flare, i really like the sound of that, regardless this is by far the coolest interpretation of her corrupted form I've seen, very awesome
